2008 - January & February 2008 News Letter
Hello and Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
It has been a very busy two months and I just wanted to let everyone know what has been happening. First, I hope everyone has seen the pictures and read about the Christmas Party we had at a local Shelter. It was a big success and everyone enjoyed it, as you can tell by the smiles on the volunteers. Since the weather has been so harsh, there have been more people coming into the Shelter, and we have had an opportunity to share Christ with people we would not have an opportunity to meet. We have also given away Bibles, gloves, shavers, tooth brushes, and other needed items to people who have come in off the streets to get warm and eat. We have been feeding around 100 people every Sunday morning for Continental Breakfast. Our breakfast has fresh milk, cereal, fresh fruit, donuts, treats, bread, butter, jelly plus other snacks they can put into their pockets and eat later. We are busy establishing a Sunday School for the Children at the Shelter. This consists of Bible stories and Bible videos. It is so important to establish a Christian foundation at a young age. They are learning how much Jesus loves them. As Easter is fast approaching, we are busy getting ready with the "big" Easter breakfast at the Shelter. We will be making it a special time and making sure they all receive stories about the "Resurrection of Jesus Christ." Our Food Pantry is growing. Many families are starting to show up for assistance. Not only do we food their bodies by giving them good nutritious food, but we feed their Souls. We give them free bibles, literature, and pray for them. We have a limited supply of clothes that they can also have free. We have been keeping a close watch on Kenya since Pastor Njera Krumbo just came back from there. Her orphanage is fine. We have been praying very hard for the safety of her Church and workers and children. It has been difficult to see what has been happening. We are in constant communications with another Pastor and Bishop there. Some of their congregation have been killed and they have been heavy in recovery work. Much prayer needs to go out to that Country. Pastor Ed McCray's church is doing fine. He is extending an invitation to anyone who would like to hear him preach to stop by on Sunday mornings 11 AM at 2406 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615. He would love to see you and so would I.
