Hello

I hope this news letter finds everyone doing well. With all the tragic news in the World, it is hard to sometimes focus on the good. However, in Romans 8: 35-37 we read that "...we are more than conquerors through him that loved us." That "him" is Christ Jesus our Lord. He gives us our strength to go through the trials and tribulations. We need to be telling and spreading the news that Jesus Christ is our LORD and SAVIOR.

April was a busy month at the Food Pantry and the Shelter. The word is spreading about the Pantry. Needy families are finding their way to our Open Door. They are getting food, clothing and PRAYERS. Everyone who enters the Church Lady and Friends Outreach Ministries Food Pantry gets their physical needs met PLUS their spiritual needs. They leave with Bibles, tracts, and the Prayer Team praying for them.

We are seeing lives being changed and people leaving with smiles on their faces and hope in their hearts. We fed over 22 families, which relates to over 109 people.

We are happy to report that we are in our 8th year of helping at the local Shelter. This month we have fed an estimated 400 people there. We provide the food and prepare it on Sunday mornings. The Team then has morning worship services for anyone who wishes to attend. Free Bibles are given out, prayers are offered up on their behalf, and counseling provided when needed.

Last Sunday someone stopped by the Chapel at the Shelter to get a free Bible. He said that I was truly a Minister. I went to the people, provided for their needs, and gave out Bibles. It brought tears to my eyes and my heart was touched. My team of volunteers and myself are truly following our Mission Statement, but the greatest thing is - WE ARE FOLLOWING CHRIST.

We had a great Mother's Day breakfast, and are getting ready for a big 8th year celebration at the Shelter - but all of that will be in my May letter. Be looking forward to that!!!
